Emily Howard - Occupational Therapist

With almost 20 years of clinical experience, Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the medicolegal industry.  For the past 6 years, whilst continuing to work as a clinician, Emily has provided specialised, comprehensive assessment and expert opinion to assist the courts in proceedings and proposed proceedings. She is experienced under cross examination, having provided expert testimony at trial. 

Emily is a qualified Occupational Therapist, graduating from university with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2005. She has experience working in rural and urban hospitals, community settings and private practice, stretching the east coast of Australia from Far North Queensland to Tasmania.

In 2016, Emily completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sexology to allow her to better understand the needs of her community clients and hospital patients that were experiencing sexual dysfunction as a result of medical conditions, illness and injuries.

​Emily continues to maintain her clinical skills providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, discharge planning, and pain management education at a private hospital located on the Sunshine Coast.
